ASHEBORO, NC, April 1 -Kathryn Newman Bageant Trudell, 84, of Asheboro, NC, died Monday, March 29, 2004.

Mrs. Trudell was a native of Blackstone and was a member of First United Methodist Church. She was an avid member of Asheboro Women's Club and the Dogwood Garden Club. She was preceded in death by her first husband, A. Granville Bageant.

She is survived by her husband, Richard J. Trudell; son and daughter-in-law, George and Betsy Bageant of Asheboro; daughter and son-in-law, Sherry and Jim Runnels of Dunlap, IA; daughter and son-in-law, Deb-ble and Mike Rasberry of Suffolk; sisters, Lou Stanley of Farmville, Barbara O'Shields of Lexington, Alice Murphy of Nellysford; granddaughters. Holly McArthur, Katy Millwood, Heather Nohr, Joy Goodchild, Audrey Lave; grandsons, David and John Rasberry and ten great-grandchildren.

A memorial service was held 2 p.m. today (Thursday) at First United Methodist Church.
