JULY 9 – James Marshall Snoddy Sr., 69, went to stand by our Savior's side on Monday, July 6, 2009 after a courageous battle with cancer.

A veteran of the U.S. Army 9th Chemical Co., and a 35-year employee with Fork Union Sanitary District, James was dedicated to family, hard work, and respect for anyone he came in contact with. He was an incredibly humble and gentle man whose belief was that manners would take you further in life than anything else. Dedicated father of three children, James Marshall Snoddy Jr. of Wenatchee, WA, Debra Snoddy Davis of Dillwyn, and Michael Bruce Snoddy of Santa Cruz, CA. Loving grandfather to Kristen, Marsha, and Jeannie Davis. Dear brother to Lucy Nicholas, Monroe Snoddy, Wayne Snoddy of Arvonia, and Joyce Gilbert of Timonium, MD. Loving companion of eight years, Carol Tipton.
