CREWE, Sept. 23 – James Leon Bowman, 51, of Crewe passed away Wednesday, September 17, 2008. He was an employee of Pamplin Historical Park in Petersburg.

He is survived by two children, Elizabeth Kay Bowman of Timberlake, NC and Daphne Nicole Bowman of Kittrell, NC; two grandchildren, Tyler James Gabriel, and Katherine Alexis Hill; mother, Mary Ruth Hall of Crewe; three brothers, Justin Dale Bowman of Crewe; Richard Phillips Jr. of Crewe and Harry Derwin Lowry of Crewe; step-mother, Myrtle Bowman and step-father, Richard Phillips Sr. of Crewe.

Funeral services were held Sunday, September 21 at Jetersville Baptist Church with Pastor Paul Wade officiating.

Jennings-McMillian Funeral Home, Crewe, served the family.
