James “Jim” Tolley, 75

PAMPLIN, Dec. 30 – James Edward (Jim) Tolley, 75, of Pamplin, received the gift of eternal life on Christmas Eve, December 24, 2008. He was the husband of Joan Carol Tolley.
Born in Big Island, April 8, 1933, he was a son of the late James Carl Tolley and the late Lucy Virginia Tomlin Tolley. Jim was a US Navy veteran of the Korean War and a retired welder for McLean Contractors in Baltimore, MD. He was a member of Dundalk United Methodist Church and a master mason in the Patapsco Lodge #183 AF & AM in Dundalk, MD.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by three daughters, Kathleen Hayhurst (Shawn) of Shrewsbury, PA, Jennifer Most (Roland) of Stevensville, MD, and Kimberly Collurafici (Michael) of Pamplin; two sons, Charles Planz of Havre DeGrace, MD and James Tolley Jr. (Lynn) of Laurel, MD; three sisters, Geraldine Tomlinson (Ed) of Big Island, Enith Hill of Bedford, and Nancy Stanley of Lynchburg; 12 grandchildren, Andrea, James III, and Carl Tolley, Robbie and Adam Planz, Ben and Katie Collurafici, An-gela Kisser, Calan Baldree, Travis Farren, Amy Potter, and Jessica Burkendine; and seven great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, Benjie Reed and a sister, Maxine Wright.
Funeral services were held Sunday, December 28, in Rocks Baptist Church by the Rev. Tom Jones. Burial followed in the church cemetery.
