DILLWYN, July 8 – James Palmer (Jim) Owen, Jr., 67, of Dillwyn, died Tuesday, July 1, 2008.

He was born May 2, 1941 in Lynchburg, the son of James Palmer Owen, Sr. and Helen English Owen.

He is survived by his wife, Nancy Hardiman Owen; two daughters, Elizabeth Owen of Richmond and Dana Taylor of Arvonia; four grandchildren, Kayla, Alex, and Jenna Taylor all of Arvonia, and Lindsey Owen of Richmond.

Graveside funeral services were held Saturday at Enon Baptist Church Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to Buckingham County Youth League.

Dunkum Funeral Home, Dillwyn, was in charge of arrangements.
