CUMBERLAND, Feb. 24 – Jacqueline Allen Armwood, 63, of Cumberland, departed this life on Wednesday, February 11, 2009 in Richmond. Mrs. Armwood was a business teacher for Prince Edward County, retiring after 34 years of inspirational guidance and instruction.

She is survived by her children, George Armwood Jr. (Mickietta), and Tracey Armwood; grandchildren, Mason Armwood Dukes, George Curtis Armwood III, and Morgan James Armwood; sisters, Martha Harris, Georgia Foster (Richard), and Jean Settle (Charles); brothers, Basil (Lorene) and Barry (Doris); sisters-in-law, Allie, Odell, Patricia, and Leanna Allen; nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Her remains rested at Marian Gray Thomas Funeral Home, Cumberland.

Funeral services were held Monday at New Life Assembly of God Church, Cumberland. The Rev. Robert Jones, presided, and the Rev. Paul Wilson was the eulogist. Interment was held in Tearwallet Baptist Church Cemetery in Cumberland.
