DECEMBER 1 – Jack Hopper, 79, of Farmville, died Thursday, November 26, 2009 in Farmville.

He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Lola Mae Hopper; three sons, Jay Bobby Hopper (Debbie) of Gloucester, Jack Lane Hopper of Powhatan, and Lionel Lee Hopper (Bonnie) of Powhatan; daughter, Lola Marie Hopper of Cumberland; grand-children, Rebecca L. Harrison (Lee) of Amelia, Cynthia M. Bernard (Matt) of Powhatan, Beffie L. Williams (Troy) of Chesterfield, Joanna L. Toler (Tony) of Amelia, Leona M. Tuttle (JT) of Powhatan, Henry L. Hopper (Helen) of Powhatan, Jay W. Hopper (Shannon) of Cumber-land, Jesse J. Hopper (Lindsey) of Amelia, Billy J. Hopper of Powhatan, Joseph “Joe' Hopper (Jessica) of Cumberland, Johnny E. Hopper of Farmville, Lola LeGail Morgan, Mary Elizabeth Ford, Jennifer Sue Hopper, Kimberly Dawn Hopper, and Elizabeth Gail Hopper; great-grandchildren, Chelsey M. Ed-ards, Matthew Bernard, Troy Jr., Jordan, and Lauren Williams, Austin and Zachory Toler, Peyton, William and Benjamin Tuttle, Lilly Patricia Hopper, Dusty Hopper, Trevor and Grady Hopper, Dakota Hopper, Josh and Nicholas Ford, Russell Jr. and Gail Ann Wiles; sisters, Rita Poore (David) of Amelia, and Imogean “Billie” Wash of Orlando, FL; brother, Niles Hopper Jr. (Sammie) of Richmond; special friends, Howard (Junie) and Sally Clark.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Niles Hopper Sr. and Mary E. “Mollie” Bass; sisters, Carolyn Lowe and Phyllis Mayhew, and daughter-in-law, Patricia Lynn Hopper.

Funeral services were conducted Tuesday (today) at the Virginia Veteran's Cemetery, Amelia, with Military Honors.
