OCTOBER 29 – James Bernard (J.B.) Leonard, 65, died Saturday night, October 24, 2009 at Mary Clark's store in Buckingham County.

He is survived by his wife, Kathie Carroll Bryant Leonard. J.B. and Kathie were married on July 21, 1990.

Mr. Leonard is survived by six children, Danny Ray Bryant, II (Lauren Agee Bryant), Donna Renee Bryant Sherman (Rickie Sherman), Laura Kay Bryant (John Dorman), James Carroll Bryant (Chelsey Seay), Jonathan Lawrence Bryant (Cara Dunivan), and Krystal Lynn Leonard (Dee Winfree); four grandchildren, Matthew William Dorman, Jacob Lawrence Bryant, Coleman William Bryant, and Mariah Lynn Leonard-Winfree; five brothers and sisters, Harry Leonard and wife, Gayle Robinson Leonard, John Leonard and wife, Debbie Whorley Leonard, Mary Lavelle Leonard Kelly, all of Buckingham, (Suzi) Suzanne Leonard Blankenship and husband, Gary of Powhatan, and Laura Leonard Sargeant and husband, Brian of Vincennes, Indiana.

He was preceded in death by his brother, George Leonard in 1960, his parents, Bernard Lewis Leonard in 1990, and Virginia Wilson Caul Leonard in 2006.

Family Night will be Friday at Dunkum Funeral Home from 7 to 8 p.m.

The funeral will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at the funeral home. The burial will take place at St. Andrews Church in Buckingham.
