NEW KENT COUNTY, March 9 – Louise Noblin Hackney, 90, of New Kent County, passed away on Thursday, March 4, 2010. She was born and raised in Farmville. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Julian C. Noblin; parents, Lacy W. Scruggs and Annie Dora Scruggs; and sister, Bessie Lee Henderson.

She is survived by her husband, Bernard Hackney; sisters, Ann Critzer and husband, Dennis, and Zella Fencel and husband, Ray; sons, Thomas C. Noblin and wife, Elizabeth, and James W. Noblin and wife, Emily; grandchildren, Rob, Alan, Steven, Jeff, and Tammy; and seven great-grandchildren, and a large extended family.

A graveside service will be held at Southlawn Memorial Park, 1911 Birdsong Rd., Petersburg, on Wednesday, March 10 at 2 p.m.
