JANUARY 20 – Luz Silveira, 99, died Monday January 19, 2004 In Farmvllle.

She was born in Guantanamo, Cuba on May 15, 1904, a daughter of the late Emilio and Antonia Torres Montes De Oca.

She is survived by her two devoted sons, Michael Silveira and his wife, Maria of Farmvllle and Jorge Silveira and his wife, June of Hampden-Sydney; eight grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. “Lucy” was preceded in death by her husband, Miguel Angel Silveira, Sr. and two sisters.

A graveside service will be held 1 p.m. Wednesday In Trinity Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends this evening (Tuesday) from 7 to 8 p.m. at Shorter Funeral Home, Farmvllle.
