VINTON, July 15 – Gertrude S. Wills, 95, of Vinton, passed away Thursday, July 10, 2008. Mrs. Wills was preceded in death by a son, Charles L. Wills and seven brothers and three sisters.

She was a retired supervisor of the Seamstress Department of the VA Hospital in Salem. She volunteered at the Red Cross Blood Bank for over 25 years.

She is survived by a son, Lewis Clifton Wills Jr., of Roanoke; grandsons, Scott Wills and wife, Mary of Harrisonburg and Jason Wills of Roanoke; three great-grandchildren, Alli, Zach, and Micah; several nieces and nephews, including Mell Taylor and wife, Shelby, Geraline Hooe and Patsy Walker; and a devoted friend, Joyce Geary.

Funeral services were held at the graveside, Monday, July 14, at the Dillwyn Cemetery in Dillwyn, with the Rev. Grady Johnston, officiating.

Dunkum Funeral Home, Dillwyn, served the family.
