George 'Buck' Jamerson, 76
SCOTTSVILLE, April 22 – George “Buck” Edward Jamerson, 76, of Scottsville, died Sunday, April 20, 2008. He was preceded in death by his son, Michael Thomas Jamerson; four brothers and one sister.
Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Algie Virginia Newton Jamerson; children, Roger Jamerson and wife, Judy, Tony Jamerson and wife, Diane, Patricia Mae Garland, Linda Taylor and husband, Charles, and Chris Jamerson and wife, Heather; brother, Acie Jamerson; sisters, Hazel Morton, Jennie Banton, Rose Wright and Ruth Brown; 10 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mr. Jamerson served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict and retired from Uniroyal in Scottsville.
He was a member of Centenary United Methodist Church, Centenary, where a funeral service will be held 2 p.m., Wednesday, April 23. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends 7-8:30 p.m., Tuesday (today) at Thacker Brothers Funeral Home, Scottsville.
