DILLWYN, June 29 – George Washington Ragland, 83, of Dillwyn, died Saturday, June 26,2004.

He was born May 24, 1921 in Buckingham County, a son of the late Richard Beverly Rag-land and Sallie Jamerson Ragland.

He is survived by his wife, Florence Sloan Ragland; a son, Beverly Ragland; a stepson, Andrew Jamerson both of Dillwyn; two sisters, Louise R. Dunkum of New Canton and Frances R. Allen of Midlothian: five grandchildren, Emily Harroun and Amy Jamerson both of Illinois, Ryan, Holly and Richard Ragland all of Dlllwyn; four great grandchildren, Dane Brown, Brandon Harroun and Bailey Jamerson of Illinois and Keith Ragland of Dlllwyn.

Funeral services were held 2 p.m. today (Tuesday) at the Dunkum Funeral Home, Dillwyn, with interment in Trinity Memorial Gardens.
