MARCH 23 – Michael Paul Thornton, 49, of Farmvllle, died Thursday, March 18, 2004.

He was a native of Pittsburgh, PA. He was a nurse anesthetist and a United States Army Captain veteran decorated with medals, badges, citations and ribbons.

He is survived by his wife, Saranna Robinson Thornton;

four children of the home, Paul, Edward, Michael and Irene Thornton; his parents, Paul and Irene Thornton of Slippery Rock, PA; a sister, Karen Thorton of Arlington and two brothers, Daniel Thornton and J. P. Thorton both of Pittsburgh, PA.

Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Friday at Johns Memorial Episcopal Church, Farmvllle, with Interment In Westview Cemetery with Military Honors.

The family will receive friends at the residence following the interment.
