RICHMOND, April 1 – Florence Virginia “Ginny” Bingham Harvey, of Richmond, died Sunday, March 30, 2008. She was born on April 8, 1928 in Appomattox to the late Myrna Sue Childers and Lt. John Alex Bingham. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ryland Baker “Pete” Harvey.

She is survived by her daughter, Myrna Harvey Rooks; son-in-law, Mark Vaden Rooks; and granddaughter, Melissa Renee Rooks.

Mrs. Harvey was a devoted member for many years of Lakeside United Methodist Church.

Her remains rest at the Huguenot Chapel of Woody Funeral Home, 1020 Huguenot Road, where the family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, April 2.

Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Thursday at Lakeside United Methodist Church, 2333 Hilliard Road, Richmond. Interment will follow at 3 p.m. at Liberty Cemetery in Appomattox.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Music Ministry at Lakeside United Methodist Church.
