Fannie G. Taylor, 79 Of Dillwyn Dies Saturday

DILLWYN, Sept. 7 – Fannie Gormus Taylor, 79, of Dillwyn, died Saturday, September 4, 2004 at her home.
She was born January 7, 1925 in Buckingham County, a daughter of the late Wesley Gormus and Julia Wise Waldon Gormus. She was the widow of Herman Taylor.
She is survived by three daughters, Doris Hall of Dillwyn, Gladys Vaughan of Brookneal and Lucille Taylor of Waynesboro: two sons, Herman Wesley Taylor of Buckingham and William J. (Popeye) Taylor of Dillwyn; a special nephew, Bo Gormus of Dillwyn; 14 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two daughters, Nancy Ramsey and Barbara Taylor.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the Dunkum Funeral Home, Dillwyn, with interment in Rocky Mount United Methodist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends this evening (Tuesday) from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
