CUMBERLAND, May 20 – Eldridge Bredell Sims, 59, of Cumberland, departed this life on Sunday, May 18, 2008 in Farmville.

He is survived by his wife, Adell Johnson Sims; mother, Edith Washington Sims; daughter, Latisha Sims; brothers, Norris Sims and Reginald Sims (Martha); sisters, Ophelia Rudd (Joseph), and Gwendolyn Shepard (Amos); father and mother-in-law, Wesley and Mable Dora Hubbard; sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

His remains rest at Marian Gray Thomas Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at Corner-stone Baptist Church, Cumberland, with the Rev. Clarence Moore Jr. officiating, with interment in the church cemetery.
