JULY 13 – Edward L. Williams, Sr., 96, of Farmvllle, died Friday, July 9, 2004 In Keysvllle.

He was born April 16, 1908 in Halifax County, a son of the late Joseph Richard and Alice Rebecca Powell Williams. He was preceded in death by his wife, Nellie Williams.

Mr. Williams was a retired farmer.

He is survived by his son, Edward L. (Lynn) Williams, Jr. of Farmvllle; his daughters, Ruth Parsons of Princeton, WV, Elizabeth Calhoun and Katherine Womack both of Farmville;

nine grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren and his sister, Dora Francis of Brookneal.

A funeral service was held Sunday at 2 p.m. at Mt. Harmony Methodist Church, Keysvllle, with interment in the church cemetery.

Shorter Funeral Home, Farmvllle, was in charge of arrangements.
