'Eddie' Covington, 58

PAMPLIN, April 8 – Edgar Morris “Eddie” Covington, 58, of Pamplln, died Wednesday, April 7,2004.

Born in Lynchburg, April 24, 1945, he was a son of Ruby Ferguson Covington of Appomattox and the late Henry Judson Covington.

Mr. Covington was a farmer and member of Elon Baptist Church, Moose Lodge #975 and the Appomattox Farm Bureau.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by three daughters, Cindy C. Burnette and husband, Walter of Brookneal, Cristina and Brittany Covington of Bedford; a granddaughter, Renny Burnette of Brookneal; two stepchildren, Jon Hammer and wife, Robin of Evergreen and Renna H. Glover and husband, Michael of Forest; a brother. Henry Earl Covington and wife, Jean of Appomattox and a sister. Pat C. Dickens and husband, John of Harrisonburg.

Graveside services will be held 3 p.m. Friday in the Swan Family Cemetery, Pamplln by the Rev. Dennis Smith.

The family will receive friends this evening (Thursday) from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Robinson Funeral Home, Appomattox.
