DILLWYN, Aug. 31 – “Our Cowboy,” David Alexandria Jordan Jr., 9, of Dillwyn, was called home to be with Jesus on Saturday, August 28, 2010. He was born on June 4, 2001, in Charlottesville, to David A. Sr. and Melinda Jordan.
He is also survived by his twin brother, Devin and his sister Kimberly; grandparents, Jay and Belinda Lester, and Cynthia Jordan and husband, J.Z. Jordan; great-grandmothers, Barbara Kennedy and Frances Lester; aunts, Tamra and husband, Stephen Toney, Michelle and husband, Jeffrey Coffey, and Shannon and husband, Gary Fitzgerald; uncle, T.J. and wife, Jessica Lester, along with many great-aunts and uncles, as well as many cousins.
David was a student at Dillwyn Primary School.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, September 1, at 11 a.m. at Cedar Baptist Church, with interment in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday evening (tonight) at the Dunkum Funeral Home from 6 to 8 p.m.
Memorials may be made to the Cedar Baptist Church.
