CUMBERLAND, Dec. 30 – Darlene Foster Claiborne, 60, of Cumberland, departed this life on Tuesday, December 23, 2008 in Farmville.

She is survived by her husband, Robert Claiborne; a daughter, Nanette Brown (Leroy); two grandchildren; two godchildren; brother, Freddie Foster (Lorraine); three sisters, Valarie Jones, Juanita Trent and Margaret Mayo (Overton); two aunts; six sisters-in-law; four brothers-in-law, and other relatives and friends.

Her remains rest at Marian Gray Thomas Funeral Home of Cumberland.

Funeral services were held Saturday at Petersville Baptist Church, New Canton, with the Rev. Ollie Bolden, pastor, officiating. Interment was in the Claiborne Family Cemetery in Buckingham.
