GEORGIA, Oct. 22 – Charles R. Scott, of Alpharetta, Georgia, 86, passed away on Sunday, October 18, 2009.

He is survived by his wife, Connie Meadows Scott; daughter, Cheryl Scott Foss of San Antonio, TX; son, Charles Rex Scott Jr. of Alpharetta, GA; grandchildren, Charles Rex Scott III of Savannah, GA, and Kibbe C. Foss of Birmington, AL; and a sister, Pearl Bradshaw of Germantown, TN.

Mr. Scott was born in Rose Hill, NC, and served his country in World War II. He retired from Blue Cross-Blue Shield of Florida as senior vice president in 1988.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday at 2 p.m. at Mount Pleasant United Methodist Church, Mount Pleasant Road, Meherrin.
