COLUMBIA, August 19 – Benjamin Franklin Johnson, 87, of Columbia, departed this life on Tuesday, August 12, 2008 in Fork Union.

He is survived by his children, Charles Johnson (Marie), Catherine Johnson, Annette Scott (Gary), Lucille Scott (Larry) and Cherlene Scott (Bobby); eight grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and other relatives and friends.

His remains rested at Marian Gray Funeral Home.

Funeral services were held Monday at Pleasant View Baptist Church, Columbia, with the Rev. Keven Caleb officiating and the Rev. Dr. Donald Trent, Eulogist. Interment was in Little Fork Baptist Church cemetery.

Marian Gray Thomas Funeral Home, Cumberland, served the family.
