DILLWYN, Nov. 5 – Barbara Wood Anderson, 74, of Dillwyn, passed away on Wednesday, November 4, 2009, in Buckingham County. She was born March 24, 1935 in Wingina, a daughter of the late Roland C. and Earle H. Wood.<br />
Mrs. Anderson was a graduate of Lovingston High School and received a two year business degree from Longwood College. She was a former Buckingham County Assistant Administrator.

Survivors include her husband of 52 years, Herman Shield Anderson of Dillwyn; two sons, William Shield Anderson and wife, Margaret and Brian Keith Anderson and wife, Denise, all of Andersonville; grand-children, Tyler, Amber, Brooks, and Bailey Anderson; sister, Jackie Mann and husband, Kyle of Waynesboro; three brothers, Roland and wife, Gloria, William and wife, Linda, all of Buckingham, and Claude and wife, Carol of San Antonio, TX.

A funeral service will be held at Bethel United Methodist Church of Andersonville on Saturday, Nov. 7.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. on Friday at the Dunkum Funeral Home.
