COCOA, Florida, Dec. 9 – Wilbur Roosevelt Vanderpool, Sr., 64, of Cocoa, FL, died Tuesday, December 2, 2003 at his home.

He was born in Farmvllle and moved to Brevard County In 1957. He worked at Cape Canaveral Air Force Station for 45 years. He loved hunting, air-boats and mechanics.

He is survived by his wife, Joan Vanderpool; his children, Cheri (Frank) Scharfenstlne of Scottsmoor, FL, Wilbur “Sonny” (Salina) Vanderpool and Roy (Andrea) Vanderpool both of Cocoa, FL; four grandchildren; his mother, Zeena Vanderpool of Farmvllle; a sister, Betty Jane Fox of Buckingham; a brother, Pete Vanderpool and Linda Flemming of Cocoa, FL and eight step grand children.

Services were held Sunday December 7 at Brevard Memorial Funeral Home Chapel.

A memorial service will be held in Farmvllle at a later date.
