ABILENE, April 1 – Wilbur J. Jamerson Sr., 78, of Abilene, passed away Sunday, March 28, 2010 in Keysville.

He is survived by his wife, Marie Bailey Jamerson of Keysville; son, Wilbur J. Jamerson Jr. of Raleigh, NC; brother, David Jamerson of Dillwyn; cousin, Malcolm J. “Bug” Oliver of Dillwyn; and numerous other cousins, nieces and nephews.

He was a retired employee of the Commonwealth of Virginia and a veteran of the United States Army.

A graveside funeral service was conducted Thursday, April 1, at Beulah United Methodist Church Cemetery in Abilene.

The Shorter Funeral Home, Farmville, is serving the family.
