BUCKINGHAM, June 15 – Stewart David Grant, 49, passed away peacefully at his Buckingham home on Tuesday, June 15, 2010, surrounded by his family and friends. He was born in Lynchburg on July 5, 1960.

He is survived by his wife of 15 years, Susan Southall Grant; son, Adam Chase Grant; step-daughter, Laiken Blair Jacobs; his mother, Joyce Grant of Rice and four siblings and their spouses, Franklin and Nita Grant of Farmville, Thomas and Cindy Grant of Rice, Barbara Grant Eanes and Henry Eanes of Rice and Jesse and Brenda Grant of Farmville; seven nephews, a niece, four great-nieces and four great-nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Homer Grant.

Mr. Grant was president of Grant's Glass of Farmville. He was an avid sports fan, loved “his” Pittsburgh Steelers and attending NASCAR races.

Visitation will be held Wednesday from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at Puckett Funeral Home.

Funeral Services will be held at the funeral home at 11 a.m. on Thursday, June 17 with interment at New Store Presbyterian Church in Buckingham.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.

Arrangements are being made with Puckett Funeral Home, Farmville.
