Rites Thursday For Martha E. Cooper, 94 Of Farmville

MARCH 30 – Martha Ed-wards Cooper, 94, of Farmville, died on Monday, March 29, 2010. She was the daughter of the late James B. Edwards and Rindy Higgins Edwards, born in Yancey County, NC, on July 12, 1915. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Floyd Cooper and a son, Carmon Cooper.

She is survived by two grandsons, Dennis Cooper of Farmville and David Cooper of Rixeyville; daughter-in-law, Earlene Cooper of Farmville; great daughter-in-law, Lisa Cooper of Farmville; and two great-grandchildren, Sara Cooper and Adam Cooper of Rixeyville.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday evening at Doyne-Burger-Davis Funeral Home from 7-8:30 p.m.

Services will be conducted on Thursday at 2 p.m. from Curdsville Church of God where she had been a member for 63 years. Interment will be in the church cemetery. Services will be conducted by the Rev. Louise Warner and the Rev. Bill Mitchell.

Doyne-Burger-Davis Funeral Home, Farmville, is in charge of arrangements.
