DECEMBER 2 – Mildred Thornhill Mills, 66, of Farmville, died Friday, November 28, 2003.

She was born August 18, 1937, a daughter of the late Paul Alexander and Pauline Owen Thornhill. She was retired from the Department of Motor Vehicles in Farmville.

She is survived by her spouse, William H. “Billy” Mills; her sons, Michael Mills and his wife, Laurie and Mark Mills and his wife, Becky both of Farmville;

five grandchildren, Jonathan, Adam, Amy, Tyler and Caleb Mills all of Farmville; a sister, Faye Morgan and her husband, Charles of Appomattox; her brother-in-law. Bill Sperry and her sister-in-law, June Thornhill; several nieces, nephews and many special friends. She was joined in death by her beloved sister, Lilly Sperry. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Paul, Jr. and Don Thornhill.

A funeral service was held 3 p.m. Monday at Farmville Baptist Church with Interment in Trinity Memorial Gardens.

Memorial contributions may be made to the nursery at Farmville Baptist Church or the Worsham Baptist Church AWANA Program.

Shorter Funeral Home, Farmville, was in charge of arrangements.
