RICHMOND, May 27 – Cassie Murphy Jarrett Dickinson, 83, of Richmond, died Monday, May 24, 2010 in Richmond. She was the widow of Sammy Lynn Jarrett and John G. Dickinson

She was born in Buckingham, February 16, 1927, to the late Joshua and Hattie Lonzie Goin Murphy Wright. She retired from quality control with Wang Computers and was a beloved wife, mother, grand-mother and sister.

Surviving are three children, Sammy Lynn Jarrett Jr. (Clara) of Cedar Hills, TX, Jennifer Lee Jarrett of Richmond and John Garfield Dickinson Jr. (Maria) of Pinang, Malaysia; three siblings, Florence W. Shepherd and Wilbur H. Wright both of Richmond and Margaret W. Hall of Brentwood, TN; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Thursday in Westhunt Baptist Church, Richmond, with a graveside service following at 2 p.m. in Westview Cemetery, Farmville.
