Memorial Service For H. Fielder Hubbard, 94 Held May 25 In SC

SOUTH CAROLINA, May 25 – H. Fielder Hubbard, 94, of Caropines, died Thursday, May 20, 2010 at Veteran's Victory House Nursing Home in Walterboro.

Mr. Hubbard was born in Rice, a son of the late Harry Hunter and Margaret Estelle Wilson Hubbard. He was a Sgt in the US Army when he met and married Mary Altman.

He was a member of Surfside United Methodist Church, a member of Murrells Inlet Masonic Lodge 368, a 32nd Degree member of the Scottish Rite in Charleston, member of Omar Shrine Temple in Mt. Pleasant, and Kingfisher Local Shrine Club.

Survivors include a son, Wilson Hubbard of Surfside Beach; sister, Mamie McClenny of Farmville; and many nieces and nephews. Mr. Hubbard was pre-deceased by his wife and five sisters.

A memorial service was held Tuesday, May 25, at Surfside United Methodist Church with Dr. Scott H. Wachter officiating.
