NEW CANTON, April 1 – Gracie Stella Snoddy Emert Higgins, 80, of New Canton, died Wednesday, March 31, 2010. She was born March 21, 1930 in Buckingham County, the daughter of the late Gordon Snoddy and Gracie Self Snoddy and widow of Lincoln Higgins.

She is survived by a son, Philip A. Emert of New Canton; two grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Graveside funeral services will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at Welcome Wesleyan Methodist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Thursday (tonight) from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at the Dunkum Funeral Home.
