DECEMBER 30 – Sarah Young Newsome, 86, formerly of Prospect, died Monday, December 29, 2003 in Roanoke.

She is survived by her son, Richard “R.T.” T. Young of Birch Run, MI; her brother, James H. Young of Prospect; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday in Prospect United Methodist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Rebecca Rumburg officiating.

The family will receive friends this evening (Tuesday) at Doyne-Burger-Davis Funeral Home, Farmville.
