DILLWYN, Nov. 25 – Garland Nelson Wood, 62, died Thursday, November 20, 2003 at his home in Dillwyn.

He was the son of the late Anna Hudgins and Milton Wood.

Mr. Wood served four years in the United States Navy and retired from Design Electric in Charlottesville in September 2003.

He is survived by his wife, Deborah Johnson Wood; two daughters, Angela Wood of Farmville and Heather W. Bryant of Goochland and a sister, Ailene Snoddy of Arvonla. He was predeceased by a son, Christopher Wood and two brothers, James and Percy Wood.

Funeral services were held 3 p.m. Sunday at Buckingham Baptist Church, Gold Hill, with interment in Brown Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery.
