Funeral Service To Be Held Saturday For Lottie Ellinger, 72

DILLWYN, June 17 – Lottie E. (Short) Ellinger, 72, of Dillwyn, passed away at her home on Wednesday, June 16, 2010 after battling cancer. She lived in Dillwyn off and on since 1968.

She is survived by her husband, Thomas C. Snead of five years; daughter, Charlene S. Toney and husband, Billy of Virginia Beach; son, Oliver Pete Short of Dillwyn; daughter, Doralease Short-Jackson and husband, Lenwood of Farmville; step-daughter, Cheryl Miles and husband, David and step-daughter, Karen Agnew of Richmond; six grandchildren, four step-grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren with two on the way. She was preceded in death by husband, James O. Short, daughter, Naomi S. Walters, and grandson, Mykal W. Toney.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 11 a.m. at the Chapel of Dunkum Funeral Home with interment at Town of Dillwyn Cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Friday evening from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or the charity of your choice.
