BUCKINGHAM, Nov. 18 -William H. “Willie” Hellard, 83, of Buckingham, died Thursday, November 13, 2003.

He was born February 9, 1920 in Buckingham County, a son of the late Fred and Mabel Hellard. He was predeceased by his wife of 63 years, Virginia L. Hellard.

He is survived by his daughter, Beulah Mae “B. Mae” Shepherd and her husband, Robert of Richmond; his son, Ronald W. Hellard of Buckingham; his sister, Emma H. Bryant of Dinwiddie; three grandchildren, Danny Shepherd and his wife, Taylor of Richmond, Kortney Hellard and Jarred Hellard both of Buckingham.

Funeral services were held 3 p.m. Sunday at Dunkum Funeral Home, Dillwyn, with interment in Buckingham Community Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to Trinity United Methodist Church, Dillwyn Fire Department or the Buckingham County Rescue Squad.
