CUMBERLAND, Jan. 6 -Ruby Ashman Norman, 67, of Cumberland, died Wednesday, December 31, 2003 at her home. She was the widow of Gray M. Norman, Sr.

She is survived by her parents, Craig and Mary Ashman of Amelia; her daughter and son-in-law, Karen and Mark Dunkum of Dillwyn; her two sons and daughters-in-law, Melvin and Jennifer Norman of Cartersville and Kemp and Vicki Norman of Cumberland; her brother, Eddie Ashman of Amelia; her sister, Gall A. Harris of Buena Vista and eight grandchildren, Meghan and Gray Norman, Erin and Woody Dunkum, Loren Jane Norman, Heather, Samantha and Nicholas Reed.

A funeral service was held 2 p.m. Friday at Grove Methodist Church, Cumberland, with interment in the church cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Payne United Methodist Church Building Fund, 50 Stony Point Road, Cumberland, VA 23040. Dunkum Funeral Home, Dillwyn, was in charge of arrangements.
