CREWE, June 29 – Franklin Letcher Reid, 71, of Crewe, died Sunday, June 27, 2010 after a courageous battle with cancer.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Johann; children, Frank “Butch” Reid Jr. (Debbie), John Reid (Yvette), Kim Ganzert (David), Stacey Rexrode (Billy), and Shannon Harrison (Joseph); nine grandchildren; and brothers, Raymond (Dorothy) of Hague, and Gerald (Sandra) of Lewisburg, WV.

A memorial service celebrating his life will be held at Ward's Chapel United Methodist Church, 7818 Namozine Road, Crewe, at 11 a.m. on Thursday, July 1.

The family requests that you make contributions to the Ward's Chapel Building Fund.
