RICHMOND, May 18 – Doris Patterson Hardison, 61, of Richmond passed away Friday morning, May 14, 2010 in Richmond. She was born December 19, 1948 in Farmville, the daughter of the late William and Gladys Horton Patterson.

She was a long-time employee of VASCO where she worked as an accounts receivable/payable clerk. Mrs. Hardison was a member of Hatcher Memorial Church.

She is survived by her sons, Jason Taylor Hardison of Richmond and Tony Hardison; daughter, Trish Hardison; sisters, Nancy Payne (Tommy), Connie Dandridge (Bubba) and Janet Patterson (Corky) all of Powhatan; brothers, Billy Patterson Jr. of North Carolina and George Patterson (Debra) of Cumberland and numerous nieces and nephews.

A funeral service was held Sunday, May 16, at the chapel of Puckett Funeral Home in Farmville with interment at Trinity Memorial Gardens in Rice.

Puckett Funeral Home, Farmville, was in charge of arrangements.
