BLACKSTONE, Jan. 1 -Charlie Warren Green, Sr., 93, of Blackstone, died Thursday, December 25, 2003. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lucille Blanche Spencer Green.

He is survived by his son, Charlie Warren Green, Jr. and his wife, Myra of Farmville; his daughter. Nancy Green Hood and her husband, Alan of Powhatan; one granddaughter, Elizabeth Pryor Green of Farmville and a brother, Edward Walter Green, 100, of Roxboro, NC.

Mr. Green was a long term merchant and a former employee of the Town of Black-stone. He was a member of Crenshaw United Methodist Church Men's Bible Class in Blackstone and a member of St. Marks United Methodist Church.

Funeral services were held 2 p.m. Sunday at St. Marks United Methodist Church with burial in the church cemetery.
