DECEMBER 9 – Betty Ruth Ayers Dunn, 62, of Farmville, died Sunday, December 7, 2003 in Farmville.

She was born September 18, 1941 in Prince Edward County, a daughter of the late Martin Austin and Ruth Louella Handy Ayers.

Mrs. Dunn was the co-owner of Ayers Building Supply.

She is survived by her husband, Harold Bruce Dunn, Jr.; her daughter, Dana D. Strickland and her husband, Bryon of King George County; her son, Kevin Bruce Dunn and his wife, Katrina H. of Farmville; her brother, Lynn Ayers and his wife, Beverly of Farmville and five grandchildren, Christopher, Sydney and Bentley Strickland;

A funeral service will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Farmville Baptist Church with Interment in Westview Cemetery.

The family will receive friends this evening (Tuesday) from 7 to 8-:30 p.m. at Shorter Funeral Home, Farmville.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Prince Edward County Rescue Squad or the Farmville Baptist Church.
