Among his assignments was Crew Chief for the Commandant of the Marine Corps, 1949-53. After retirement, Mr. Jamerson and his bride, Dorothy, built their home in the hills of Washougal, Washington on the banks of the Washougal River. From the log cabin that he built himself, he was able to enjoy his love of hunting and fishing. Mr. Jamerson was a sharpshooter and was very skilled at bow hunting. When his age prohibited the hunting and fishing, he was able to enjoy watching the salmon spawn upstream in the river just below his front porch. He knew the species of salmon from the sounds they put out in the water. He and his wife were very active with their circle of retired marines, which were many, until their heath prohibited their travel away from home.

God gave him two very special angels to watch over him. What a wonderful blessing.
