Farmville Police responded to a reported breaking and entering at the Farmville Cash & Carry, located at 1605 W. Third St., on Thursday at approximately 7:48 a.m.

Police said that upon arriving at the business for opening, an employee discovered the front door had been broken out and numerous items within the establishment were scattered all over the floor.

“It was later discovered a small amount of currency had been taken, as well as various tobacco products,” police said.

The case remains under investigation at this time.
