Airport to receive over $1 million

WASHINGTON, D.C. — U.S. Sens. Mark R. Warner, D-Virginia, and Tim Kaine, D-Virginia, announced Wednesday that the Farmville Municipal Airport will receive more than $1.3 million to help reconstruct 12,000 square yards of the existing terminal apron pavement that has reached the end of its useful life.

According to a press release, the Farmville airport is one of four Virginia airports that will receive $8.45 million in federal funding from the Department of Transportation’s (DOT) Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) to improve and enhance airport infrastructure.
