There is much at stake in our lovely town.

To begin, I would like to say Longwood University has been a very vital part of our town since it began as the Farmville Female Seminary in 1839.

Through the years, both the town and Longwood University have grown — and grown together.

High Street, with its very old, lovely homes, kind of separates the town from the beginning of Longwood.

The town cannot keep the Martins’ from selling their property, however, the town can keep a builder from building a five-story student housing complex and large parking area, which would ruin the lovely residential area.

Please save High Street.
