Thursday marked the first day of the 2017-18 school year for students in Buckingham County. Elementary and primary school students at the Carter G. Woodson Education Complex lined the sidewalks after leaving their school buses and the comforts of their family’s vehicles before embarking on the new year. Pictured, from left, Aaliyah Hardy, Kaylee Bartee and Amyahi Grooms are all smiles for their first day of school. See more photos here.
