SOUTH BOSTON — The Southern Virginia Go Council has multiple meetings set for this month.

According to a press release, the Southern Virginia Go Region 3 Executive Committee will meet July 19 from 10 a.m.-noon at the offices of Mid-Atlantic Broadband Communities Corp. at 1100 Confroy Drive, South Boston.

According to the release, the meeting will include a discussion on the status of the Growth and Diversification Plan, committee updates and upcoming meeting schedules.

The meeting is open to the public.

The council will meet the same day from noon-4 p.m. at the same location to discuss the same topic.

The Southern Virginia Go Region 3 Growth and Diversification Committee will meet July 24 from noon-5 p.m. at the same location to discuss the plan.

According to officials, Go Virginia is the state’s emerging economic development initiative. The mission of the organization is to encourage collaboration among business, education and government entities in each region on activities that will enhance private sector growth and opportunity.
