Marion Brothers Logging recognized

The Cumberland County School Board recognized Franklin Marion, owner of Marion Brothers Logging, Inc., for his inclusion in the VSBA’s Business Honor Roll.

The Cumberland County School Board recognized Franklin Marion and Kevin Marion during the May board meeting. According to a Cumberland County Public Schools’ press release, the Marion brothers are the owners of Marion Brothers Logging, Inc., located at 656 Anderson Hwy., Cumberland.

“This business was nominated by Cumberland County Public Schools to be included on the Virginia School Boards Association’s (VSBA) Business Honor Roll for 2017 and was later accepted,” officials said in the release. “The business was selected because of the firm’s ongoing support of public education and to the community at large.”

Ginger Sanderson, chairman of the school board, expressed her gratitude for the support provided by Marion Brothers Logging. The release cited that Franklin Marion was present to accept the Certificate of Appreciation from the school board. The company also received a personalized letter of congratulations from the VSBA.
