Members of the Woman’s Club Buckingham County GFWC attended the Alice Kyle Fall District Meeting, recently held at Hat Creek Camps and Conference Center in Brookneal. The meeting was called to order by the newly elected Alice Kyle District President Gwen Hamlet who noted “It’s the little things … and the big things of life we are at one.” A business meeting followed. Robert Day of the Patrick Henry Boys and Girls Home was presented with school supplies. A brunch was then served and a silent auction followed with baskets filled with many wonderful items from all the club members. Marlene Wine, GFWC Virginia Parliamentarian, was then introduced as the guest speaker.
