“It is a great honor to serve on Farmville Town Council. The last 17 months have been very busy but also very exciting,” Dwyer said in a statement.

“I have served on Farmville Town Council for over 11 years and consider it an honor to represent Ward D and this town,” said Donald Hunter.

J.J. “Jamie” Davis said in a statement that his time on the council has reduced the town’s long-term debt.

“Equally important has been the intentional strengthening of town relationships with each other, Longwood University, state legislators and other various boards and organizations,” Davis said.

According to the Prince Edward County Voter Registrar’s Office, the voting location for Wards A and B is the Farmville Train Station. Voters in Wards C and D cast their ballots at the Prince Edward’s Elks Lodge. Those living in Ward E vote at the Farmville Area Bus station.

Voters are required to present photo ID at the polls before voting.

The registrar’s office will be open Saturday from 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. for absentee voting.
